I know it's supposed to start feeling more like Spring, but it dumped nearly a foot of snow here on Friday! My little family bundled up and headed outside to shovel our driveway and play in the snow. Once we were thoroughly worn out and starting to get chilly, we decided to call it quits. What better way to warm up then with a toasty drink!? We headed back inside to make our favorite homemade hot cocoa.
The beginning of Fall has been bittersweet for our Huebner household in Cincinnati this year. We will be putting our house on the market in Spring, which means we are ending a gardening era. Our precious garden beds have always been front and center right outside our doorstep for optimum sun placement. We have torn out the garden beds to make way for new grass growth before the house hits the market.
The beginning of the school year poses one big problem for me… Getting everyone out of the door on time! My little, two-year-old Amelia seems to give me the most trouble. Maybe it is her age, but I anticipate this is a foreshadowing of what is to come in her teenage years.
Have you noticed that when you get your kids to ‘help’ you with something most of the time they are doing the exact opposite? I still tell them they are helpers, because it makes us all feel good and encourages their desire to be helpful throughout their lives.
