My husband and I live far from family and we just outfitted a Camper Van, so we like to consider ourselves baby road trip warriors! Now that we have 2 kiddos, they add to the fun and add extra stuff to the car trips, haha. I have compiled a list of what we consider "must-have" essentials for a baby road trip!
We always have a Diaper Caddy in the car filled with diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, snacks, and little toys. Even when we don't have a little one in diapers, I find the Caddy to be extra helpful to keep our backseat *somewhat* organized on a baby road trip.
Two battery powered items we always have in our car are a Portable Sound Machine and a Car Seat Fan. Both help keep the kiddos content for their nap time and that helps keep mom and dad sane! The portable fan is also great for a hot Summer walk to clip to the stroller or wagon.
For our toddler, Charlie we have reusable sticker books, interactive story books, and I love the gel window clings from Target! I also always keep a few little surprises from the dollar section to give him on a long trip.
For baby Hazel it can be a little trickier to entertain her. Soft, crinkly books, this popper toy, and anything that plays music is her favorite right now. Otherwise I just keep handing her snacks or bust out Cocomelon if we are really desperate.
