A lot changes in five, six, seven, eight years of motherhood.
The diapers eventually disappear. The babies become big kids. The quick trips to Grandma’s turn into family vacations, school days, sports, and weekends away.
And for some Parker Baby Co. moms, the same Birch Bag has been there through all of it.
We asked a few longtime Birch Bag moms to share how they used their bags then and how they’re using them now.
Cora’s Story
Cora was gifted her Birch Bag by a dear friend in 2019 while she was pregnant with her oldest, their rainbow baby.
In the beginning, it was packed for outings with a baby, visits to the grandparents, church, coffee shop runs, and overnight trips.
Today, Cora has two growing kids, and that same bag is still going places with their family. Now, it carries library books, baby dolls, and whatever they need for family walks downtown.
“It’s been so special to have a bag that has seen us as parents in so many seasons, from bleary-eyed, postpartum moments to parents who are sending kids off to school.”
Sarah’s Story
Sarah knew she wanted a Birch Bag before she was even pregnant.
She had discovered Parker Baby Co. on Instagram and knew that someday, it would be the diaper bag on her registry.
After a long wait to become pregnant with her son, finally creating her baby registry was especially meaningful. Her husband’s uncle gifted them the Birch Bag she had been dreaming about.
Four years later, Sarah has added a Birch Bag Mini to the mix, but her original Birch is still the bag they reach for when they travel.
Most recently? It headed to the mountains and Rocky Mountain National Park with them.
Amy’s Story
Amy bought her first Birch Bag in 2018 when she had three little kids, ages four, three, and five months.
With three little ones, the backpack style gave her the hands-free freedom she needed, while all the pockets and storage gave this self-described Type A mom a place for everything.
Since then, Amy has welcomed another daughter and carried a Birch Bag through just about every stage.
Zoo trips. Hikes. Vacations. Potty training. Everyday chaos.
When her kids were out of diapers but she still needed changes of clothes, snacks, and mom essentials, she added the Birch Bag Mini. Now that she’s back in the little years with an 18-month-old, she’s added a black Birch Bag too.
She even brought one along for a solo work conference.
“It’s honestly been such an important part of my parenting journey.”
Eight years later, Amy now owns three.
“I don’t even think I could ever use another backpack. It’s the Birch Bag for me!”
Made for More Than the Diaper Bag Years
The things inside their Birch Bags look a little different these days.
But the bag is still there.
From newborn outings and postpartum days to library trips, family vacations, hikes, and everything in between, we love seeing the Birch Bag grow right alongside the families carrying it.
